Artist Bio
Rhys Phillips is a photographic artist based in London, his documentary photography explores lesser known groups within society and culture that are often overlooked or have common misconceptions surrounding them. Visually exploring communities through faces, places and details, the images collectively show various aspects of small societal groups through his portraits of people and portraits of place. Exploring subcultures though his non-judgemental, enquiring approach, many aspects which make up these groups are opened up to the viewer, enabling them to gain their own understanding of a subject.
Rhys graduated from University of Wales Trinity St David with a First Class Honours Degree BA (Hons) Photography in 2018.
